O termo Utupë, significa “imagem corpórea, essência vital, forma mítica primordial” e, também, ‘reflexo, sombra, eco, miniatura, réplica, reprodução, desenho’, como explica o antropólogo Bruce Albert no livro a A queda do céu.Palavras de um xamã yanomami, de sua autoria e do líder e xamã yanomami Davi Kopenawa.
Além de fonte epistêmica do xamanismo Yanomami, Utupë é também a chave de compreensão desta cosmo-ontologia em que o sonho tem o estatuto de experiência real, que opera como tecnologia de comunicação e possibilita outras formas de acessar e de se relacionar com o mundo.
Não se trata de opor sonho e vigília, mas de compreendê-los como experiências vividas por diferentes partes que compõem a pessoa.
Este notável conhecimento do universo onírico, que distingue-se da tradição filosófica moderna em que o sonho está comumente relacionado à ilusão, tem insurgido em minha investigação baseada na prática artística sobre o universo onírico.
A vídeo performance foi captada no espaço do quarto onde dormi e ao final de um periodo de mergulho no tempo dos sonhos e na experiencia de coexistência fluida desse estado de consciência, entrelaçada com a vivência no território da Chapada Diamantina.
Exercício poéttico ritualizado para ativar neste ambiente imagético e afetivo, o corpo em relação com a experiência sonhada.

In addition to being the epistemic source of Yanomami shamanism, Utupë is also the key to understanding this cosmo-ontology in which dreams have the status of real experience, which operates as a communication technology and enables other ways of accessing and relating to the world.
It is not about opposing dreams and waking hours, but about understanding them as experiences lived by different parts that make up the person.
This remarkable knowledge of the dream universe, which distinguishes itself from the modern philosophical tradition in which dreams are commonly related to illusion, has emerged in my investigation based on artistic practice about the dream universe.
The video performance was captured in the space of the room where I slept and at the end of a period of diving into the time of dreams and the experience of fluid coexistence of this state of consciousness, intertwined with the experience in the territory of the Chapada Diamantina.
Ritualized poetic exercise to activate, in this imagery and affective environment, the body in relation to the dreamed experience.
